Louisiana Birding Workshop

Join me in Louisiana, along with professional photographer/guide Charles Bush, for a workshop focusing on nesting wading birds in South Western Louisiana. Southwestern Louisiana has an abundance of wading birds and the tour is scheduled to coincide with the nesting season. We will be visiting several bird rookeries giving unparalleled access to these beautiful birds. Several of the Rookeries are accessed by boat and the remainder are located an easy access from the road.


Also on the agenda is photographing nesting Osprey in a natural setting. The birds nest atop Cypress tress in the Atchafalaya Basin.

Details

​

  • Tour starts and ends in Lafayette, LA

​

  • Transportation will be provided from Lafayette to Henderson (depending on flight times, this may mean that we have to wait for the last person to arrive).

​

  • You'll need to arrive no later than 1pm on the 21st.

​

  • You will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Breaux Bridge / Henderson, Louisiana

​

  • If you are traveling alone and you'd prefer to share a room, we'll do our best to pair you with someone of the same gender. 

​

  • Photographers of all skill levels are welcome

​

  • A deposit of $250 is required to secure your spot 

​

  • The balance is due 60 days prior to the workshop
