Sequoia & Yosemite Photo Workshop

SPRING WORKSHOP:

Our Spring workshop will coincide with the high-country snow melt, when Yosemite’s raging waterfalls cascade into hundreds of streams that, in turn, fill the beautiful Merced River.  Deep green pools will reflect the surrounds cliffs and mountains. Dogwood trees should be in full spring bloom, meadows will be filled with Wildflowers, and you’ll see rainbows in the mist of the falls.   What’s more you’ll avoid the summer crowds and have mostly unobstructed views.   It’s a perfect time to capture the beauty of the park.

Join us in Yosemite National Park, home of the Granite Giants. Yosemite’s glacially carved Valley, with its lush alpine meadows of wildlflowers, meandering streams, hundreds of lakes, and groves of towering Sequioa, is a place of incomparable natural beauty, and is quite possibly one of the most spectacular alpine landscapes in the world.  The Valley is lined by sheer granite walls, domes – including the soaring El Capital and Half-Dome, glacially sculpted, polished rock, and five of the world’s highest waterfalls.  Millions of years of repeated glaciation and erosion have created this distinct and diverse landscape that is unique in this world.

Besides its natural beauty, Yosemite Valley is home to an abundance of wildlife including black bears, mule deer, and chipmunks. It really is a photographer’s paradise, offering some of the most spectacular landscape photography opportunities in the world.

FALL WORKSHOP:

Our Fall workshop  will capture the aspens in early September, as there leaves change to brilliant yellows and oranges. The meadows will still be green and the creeks will be flowing.  This is also a great time to see wildlife as they prepare for the winter ahead.  As temperatures drop in the high-country, many animals head down into the valley in search of more abundant food.
