Join us on an exciting photo tour/workshop to Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.  Vancouver island, in Canada’s Pacific Northwest, is home to one of the planet’s most diverse ecosystems and stretches for 460 km from Victoria in the South To Cape Scott with it’s rocky headlands, and windswept beaches in the north.

We’ll explore the outstandingly beautiful and remote North, starting in Campbell River.  Venture out by boat in search of whales in the Salish Sea. This coastal wilderness is home to killer whales (Orcas), humpback whales, Gray whales, Minke Whales, sea lions, porpoises, seals, eagles, and more!  Together with an experiences photography guide,  we’ll explore the Great Bear Rainforest, home to the Spirit bear, and Knight Inlet, in search of Grizzly bears and other species - may is a great time to see small bear cubs.  We’ll watch playful sea otters swimming amongst the kelp, and visit the remote and rugged Cape Scott.

Then we’ll head to Vancouver Island’s wild South West Coast to explore Clayoquot Sound and the Pacific Rim National Park’s rugged beauty.  We’ll enjoy long days, exploring the ancient rainforests and desolate, mist-shrouded beaches and rocky promontories.  Starting at sunrise and ending at sunset, our days will be filled with loads of photography.  While this portion of the trip will focus more on landscapes, we are also likely to see bald eagles, sea otters, black bear, sea lions and an occasional transient Orca or Gray Whale cruising off the coast
